Can we book a private Taste Perugia Food Tour?
What private experiences can you offer for smaller groups?
For smaller groups, we offer two private wine experiences: a wine walk through Perugia’s historic center for a minimum of 4 guests, or a visit to family-run wineries in the Umbrian countryside for groups of 6 or more.
Can you accommodate groups larger than 12?
Yes. We can accommodate larger groups depending on the experience and availability. Contact us with your group size and preferred date and we’ll let you know what we can arrange.
Does a private Taste Perugia tour cost more?
For groups of up to 12, the per-person price is the same as our regular Taste Perugia Tour. For larger groups, the per-person price may increase if an additional guide is required.
Can you customize a private experience for our group?
We may be able to adjust the timing, pace or other details of your experience depending on availability. Let us know what you have in mind and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Can you arrange something for a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion?
Absolutely. Private experiences are a wonderful way to celebrate with family or friends. Let us know what you’re celebrating when you contact us and we’ll see how we can make the day feel special.
Can you accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Vegetarian options and gluten-free pasta are available. Vegan options are limited. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions before booking so we can confirm what is possible.
How much walking is involved?
Experiences within Perugia take place on foot in the historic center. Perugia is a medieval hill town, so you should expect cobblestones, hills and some steps along the way. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.
Are private experiences suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Perugia’s hills, cobblestones and steps can make some routes challenging for guests with mobility limitations. Please contact us about your group’s needs. We’ll let you know whether the experience is suitable and what adjustments can be made.
Are children welcome?
Yes. Children are welcome on our Taste Perugia Food Tour. Our wine experiences, however, are designed for adults and are not recommended for children.
Where do private experiences start and end?
Experiences in Perugia begin and end in the historic center. Meeting details are provided when you book. Vineyard experiences include transportation from an agreed meeting point in Perugia or at your countryside accommodations.
Where should we park?
Perugia’s historic center is a limited traffic zone (ZTL). Public parking areas are located within walking distance. We’ll provide parking directions at the time of booking.
Does the tour run in all weather?
Experiences take place rain or shine. Much of the tasting takes place indoors, although there will be walking outside between stops.
Should we tip our guide?
Tipping is not required but always appreciated.
What languages are the private experiences offered in?
Our private experiences are conducted in English.
What is your cancellation policy?
Private experiences require advance planning and reservations with our local partners. Cancellation terms vary by experience and group size and will be clearly provided before your booking is confirmed.
