Frequently asked questions

We’re here to help you.

What is the difference between the vineyard experience and the Perugia Wine Walk?

Our vineyard experience takes you into the Umbrian countryside to visit family-run wineries, meet the producers and taste wines where they’re made.

The Perugia Wine Walk stays in the historic center, combining Umbrian wines and small bites with a walk through the city’s history and sights.

Our wine experiences have certain fixed costs regardless of group size. A minimum of 4 guests for the Perugia Wine Walk and 6 for the vineyard experience allows us to keep the per-person price reasonable.

If we don’t reach the minimum of 4 guests, the Wine Walk may be canceled and you will receive a full refund.

The Wine Walk is limited to a maximum of 12 guests.

We typically visit at least two family-run wineries, giving you the opportunity to meet the people behind the wines, tour the vineyards and cellars, and taste a selection of their wines. Depending on budget and timing, a third winery can be added.

Yes. Vineyard experiences include transportation from an agreed meeting point in Perugia or from your countryside accommodation.

Yes. Both experiences include food to accompany the wines. The specific tastings vary depending on the experience and the places we visit.

Not at all. Our wine experiences are relaxed and approachable, whether you’re new to wine or already know quite a bit about it.

Vegetarian options and gluten-free pasta are available. Vegan options are limited. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary restrictions before booking so we can confirm what is possible.

The vineyard experience can still be enjoyable for non-drinkers who want to experience the Umbrian countryside. The Perugia Wine Walk is centered around wine tasting, so it might not be the best choice for guests who don’t drink.

Our wine experiences are designed for adults and are not recommended for children.

The Wine Walk takes place on foot in Perugia’s historic center. Expect cobblestones, hills and some steps along the way, balanced with seated tastings. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

The Perugia Wine Walk is not wheelchair accessible due to the hills, cobblestones and steps along the route. Our vineyard experiences can accommodate wheelchair users with advance notice so we can arrange appropriate transportation and visits to accessible wineries.

Both experiences take place rain or shine. Most of the wine tasting takes place indoors, although the Wine Walk includes time outside between stops.

The Perugia Wine Walk begins and ends in the historic center. For the vineyard experience, transportation is provided from an agreed meeting point in Perugia or from your countryside accommodation.

Exact meeting details are provided with your booking confirmation.

Tipping is not required but always appreciated.

Because our wine experiences are private and require advance reservations with our local partners, cancellations are subject to the terms provided at the time of booking.
