Pricing (valid for January 18-25, 2020) is per person in a shared double room and is based on a minimum of 8 participants. A limited quantity of single rooms is available. Airfare and R/T ground transport to Schruns are not included.
Food allergies and special dietary requests can be accommodated with advance notice.
R/T Transfer Zurich Airport to Schruns can be arranged for an additional cost.

Stunningly beautiful, the Silvretta-Montafon ski area is less well known (and more laid back) than its more famous neighbors, St. Anton and Ischgl. But this is to your advantage on this food, wine and ski tour as the slopes are virtually empty most of the year. Your six-day ski pass also connects you to the ski areas of Golm, Gargellan, and Brandnertal.
Your base on this adventure is the 3-Star Superior, Family run Hotel Zimba in the charming town of Schruns, a favorite of Ernest Hemingway where he spent a winter writing The Sun Also Rises.
Every morning after a generous breakfast buffet, you can begin your skiing on some of the widest slopes in Austria, accessible by a gondola (just a short walk from our hotel) or via the system of free ski buses. In the afternoon, leave your skis and boots in a locker on the mountain and take the gondola down or ski the 12km run directly back to the village.
On this ski tour, you can also spend a full day of intensive ski coaching to improve and fine-tune your skills with Klaus Mair, Schruns local and founder of Sofa Ski School. See the additional costs below.
Day 1: Arrival to Zurich International Airport
From Zurich, Schruns is an easy train ride of about 2.5 hours connecting via Zurich's main train station with another quick change in Bludenz. A transfer from Zurich Airport (about 1.5 hours drive) can also be arranged at an additional cost. Check into your 3-star superior hotel before free time and lunch on your own. This evening, meet your fellow travelers over a multi course dinner. The Hotel Zimba features a spa area, ski room, generous breakfast buffet and home cooked dinners. It is a short walk to the Hochjochbahn cable car and the free ski buses at the train station.
Day 2: Ski Pass, Equipment Rentals & Ski
Pick up your 6-day ski pass at the hotel desk, then head to the Intersport Rental Station at the top of the Hochjoch Bahn to choose any equipment you may need. The expert service at Intersport and its convenient location at the top of the gondola allows you to easily change equipment until you find the skis you'll want to use all week. Brands include Atomic, Fischer, Rossignol, Volkl, Stockli. Rentals and mountaintop lockers are also available. A 6 day rental package (skis and poles) is included in your tour price. Rental boots and ski lockers are also available. Please inquire.
Days 3 -7: Free Ski Days
Enjoy skiing at your leisure during the day. With your one ski pass, you can enjoy 4 different resorts in the area that are interconnected by a series of cable cars and lifts or accessible via the free ski bus system with stops along the route just a few minutes from our hotel. In the evening, we'll enjoy multi-course dinners five nights at the hotel. Two nights we'll eat at family restaurants in the charming center of Schruns.
Day 8: Departure
After 6 days on the slopes we'll head back to Zurich on the morning of our last day for free time or an optional chocolate tour (€85 additional). We'll overnight at a hotel in the historic center or at the airport to be in the best position for an early morning flight home.
Optional Ski Coaching
By special arrangement (see additional costs below) you can spend a full day of intensive coaching to improve and fine-tune your skills with Klaus Mair, Schruns local and founder of Sofa Ski School. Coaching is for intermediate to expert level skiers who want to identify specific handicaps in their skiing and make the necessary changes in their technique that will affect a huge improvement. The full day of coaching includes video analysis (that you can take with you) and on slope drills plus Klaus’ best selling instructional ski video that you can review at your leisure.

Sofa Ski Coaching Pricing
1 Participant €530, 2 Participants €300 per person, 3 Participants €225 per person, 4 Participants €185 per person, 5 Participants €165 per person, 6 Participants €150 per person.
6 Participants is the maximum number for one coach. For additional participants, pricing will be calculated accordingly.
